Kathleen M.  Batson
President

BinTech Partners, Inc. Kathy Batson has more than 25 years extensive and diversified experience in managing operations, sales, processing, product development, on-line systems design, procedures, quality control, productivity standards, forms design and production forecast.

With Bankers since 1983, Kathy has held multiple positions, from Managing a direct-response team to President of Insurance Management Solutions Group to independent consulting and finally, her extensive experience made her the ideal person to head BinTech Partners as President.

Nanette D.  Brunson
Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Nan Brunson has over 18 years of corporate management experience in the insurance and information technology industries, which includes more than 10 years in marketing and sales.

She joined Bankers in 1993 and became assistant vice president of the private passenger auto customer service department in 1997.  Her marketing and sales experience began with Insurance Management Solutions in 1998.

Nan administered and marketed the National Flood Insurance Program for Heartland Lloyds Insurance Company in Austin, Texas.  During her career Nan owned and operated a full service Property & Casualty and family financial planning insurance agency in Austin, Texas.  Most recently Nan assisted First American Flood Data Services, a First American Corporation in starting a National Flood Insurance Agency and managed its Flood Service Bureau clients that received Flood Zone Determinations, Flood Program Grandfathering assistance and related natural risk management services.

Nan joined BinTech Partners, Inc. in January 2008 as the Vice President of marketing and sales. 

Timothy J. Fellabaum
Vice President, CIO

Tim Fellabaum has over 20 years experience in the information technology field, including more than 17 years in the insurance industry.  Recently, he was Vice President of Information Technology for Fidelity National Insurance Services out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Having started with Bankers in 2000, Tim recently re-joined the company in May 2007.  His experience in systems development includes Flood, Excess Flood, Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Auto, Personal Umbrella, and various Commercial products. His IT management experience dates back to 2000 when he was put in charge of the e-solutions web development group for Insurance Management Solutions.

Currently, he is responsible for all network and development aspects within Bankers Insurance Companies.

Wayne Matthews
Vice President, Insurance Accounting

Wayne has over 20 years of professional and financial management experience within insurance, financial services, and venture capital, and has a “Final Four” public accounting foundation.

Wayne is Responsible for insurance and reinsurance accounting, statutory reporting, financial analyses, agency accounting, coordination with independent auditor and actuaries, and premium & municipal tax reporting.

Donald B. Roberts
Vice President, Technical Operations

Don became a Director of Bankers Financial Corporation in 2005. In 2007, he joined Bankers Insurance Group as Manager of Product Management. In 2008, he was made a Vice President of BinTech Partners, Inc, where his is responsible for technical operations, and Vice President of Bankers P&C and Life insurance companies. Previously, Don worked for 25 years with The Southern Company, as an engineer and manager in strategic planning, risk management and environmental compliance and design. He has also owned and operated a real estate venture.

Don holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and an MBA from Samford University in Alabama. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida and Georgia and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
 

Steven H. Strus
Vice President, Claims

Steve is a Vice President of BinTech Partners, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bankers Insurance Group. He is responsible for managing the daily claims operation including the catastrophe unit and supervising claims examiners.

Steve has earned his AIC Designation from the Insurance Institute of America and has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years, and began his career as a claims representative for Republic Insurance Company in Chicago.
